Born on the 1st of November 1939 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, United States, Barbara Bosson was an American actress. 

She rose to fame after her role in the television series "Hill Street Blues" from 1981 to 1987. Her role in the series earned her five consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations. 

Barbara Bosson died on February 18, 2023, in Los Angeles at the age of 83.

Life and Career

Barbara Bosson was born to a tennis coach father in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Her career kick-started when she was featured in Bullitt, a crime thriller, in 1968. She also starred as "Sharon" in the 1970 series "Richie Brockelman, Private Eye."

Her breakthrough in the American movie industry didn't come until 1981, when she was featured in "Hill Street Blue," a television series that lasted until 1987 and earned her five consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations. 

In 1984, Barbara Bosson starred in "The Last Starfighter," a science-fiction film, and from 1995 to 1999, she starred in "Murder One," a series that also earned her an Emmy Award nomination.

Over the course of her career, Barbara Bosson made guest appearances in some series, some of which include Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Civil Wars, L.A. Law, Crazy Like a Fox, Mannix, among others. 

In 1970, Barbara Bosson got married to Steven Bochco, a writer and television producer. They had two children together before parting ways in 1997.

On the 18th of February 2023, Barbara Bosson died in Los Angeles at the age of 83. The cause of her death is not yet known.
