Early Life and Family
Megne Noubissi Christelle, popularly known as Krys M, was born on January 30, 1995, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Although not much is known about her family and early life, it is at least known that Krys M's parents are from Baleng, an area in Cameroon's Western region.
Career
Krys M started her career in 2013 as a member of Mo Girls, a female music group. The group was made up of three artistes: Krys M (known then as Krys-T-El), YV-BE, and Just-in. The group was also known for a series of hit songs, most notably “Secouer Lo” on which the popular DJ Arafat was featured. Mo Girls however disbanded after the release of their song “Super Roulée” in 2015.
After the disbandment of Mo Girls, Krys M embarked on a solo career. She performed music covers for artistes like Kiss Daniel, Sarkodie, Mr. Leo, among others. Her efforts to make a comeback on the music scene were in vain, and she struggled to find her identity. In 2016, she signed with the Big Dreams Entertainment label. She did several covers, including Davido's “IF” and Aveiro Djess's "Nyama,” and in 2017, she featured Locko on a song titled "My Love.” Later that year, she released a single titled “T'oublies”.
In 2021, Krys M officially made her comeback with the presentation of her new album titled “Surface.” “Surface” consists of six tracks with “Chérie Coco,” a love song produced by Kwedi Nelson, being its flagship track. Other songs on the album include "On fait comment," recorded under the Les Coudes Prod label, "Ne T'en Vas Pas," and "Nobody,” as well as "Show Me Something" and "Ton Idéal," on which she collaborated with Ko-c and Locko respectively.
Krys M also released a single titled "Chacun sa chance" under the KM Entertainment label. The song was an instant hit and was characterized by traditional sounds, specifically the Bend skin from the Bamiliké ethnic group of Cameroon. In 2023, she released "Qui Croira Verra,” a song which encourages music enthusiasts to keep faith in the face of difficulties.
