Early Life
Bon Ambe Chrisantus, popularly known as Show Yoh or American New York, was born on December 5, 1996, in Bafut, a village in the Northern Western region of Cameroon. At a tender age, he developed a keen passion for music and decided to pursue it as a career.
Career
Show Yoh started his career as a rapper in 2018, catching the attention of music enthusiasts with his fashion sense which was inspired by the old-school and rappers of the early ages.
In December 2020, while celebrating his birthday, Show Yoh released his debut EP titled “Show Yoh The King.” The EP had a total of six songs which included “Culture” ft 50 Ross, “New York” ft 50 Ross, “You Don't Know Me” ft Jennifer, “Brenda Biya,” “Show Yoh The King,” and “Baby Please.” “Brenda Biya,” one of the songs on the EP was dedicated to Cameroon's first daughter, Brenda Biya, whom Show Yoh revealed to be his crush.
In 2023, Show Yoh released a single titled “No Show With Show Yoh.” The song became an instant hit and together with its music video set the Cameroonian music scene abuzz. In the music video - which was shot in Yaounde - Show Yoh can be seen dancing with his crew to the infectious beat of the song.

In May 2022, Show Yoh broke the internet after revealing a tattoo of American rapper, 50 Cent, which he claimed to be his father and mentor in the music world. The tattoo which was awful looking received mixed reactions from social media users with some thinking it was funny and others confessing that his body ink does not in anyway look like the famous American rapper.
Reacting to the tattoo, 50 Cent questioned Show Yoh on the damage he did to his body while requesting for the best portrait tattoo artist available to fix it.
