On November 7, 2023, Alan Fisher cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes to become the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon, breaking the record set by previous holder, Hilda Baci, who cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Not only did Alan Fisher break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon but he also broke the record for the longest baking marathon (individual) after baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes. He overcame the previous record holder, Werndy Sandner, who baked for 31 hours and 16 minutes.
