• She was born on January 17, 1958, in Trans Nzoia County, Kenya
• She acquired primary education at Kapsabet Girls School and completed her A' levels in 1977 at Alliance Girls
• After completing her A' levels, Fatuma Sichale attended the University of Nairobi where she acquired a Bachelor of Laws degree
• Following the acquisition of her Bachelor of Laws degree, she got admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1983. This marked the beginning of her legal career
• She immediately started her legal career as a magistrate and worked as a resident magistrate until 1987. She also got involved in private practice in Nairobi and Kitale and served on the council of FIDA (K) as well as the council of the Law Society of Kenya

• In January 2024, she was elected by Court of Appeal judges as their representative  to the Judicial Service Commission-JSC, beating off competition from Justice Patrick Kiage and Justice Gatembu Kairu
